Where is Howfenfest?
Howfenfest happens each year in Central Park, Westhoughton, on the football fields (located just behind The Cross Guns pub). On the day of the event you will be able to access the festival arena through the Bolton Road car park (where the funfair will be located).
For those of you with sat navs, the address is Central Park, Bolton Road, Westhoughton, BL5 3DG.
What is Howfenfest anyway?!
Howfenfest is a one day only event, bringing you the best in local musical talent together on one stage. In addition to this, there will also be a funfair.
Are there any age restrictions on this event?
No, Howfenfest is open to people of all ages! The more the merrier.
Is alcohol allowed?
The centre of Westhoughton, including Central Park, is an alcohol free zone and there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. The good news is that both the police & council have agreed that Howfenfest can be moved up to the top football field (behind the Cross Guns) so people can get a drink & watch the music at the same time. Please remember Central Park is a designated no alcohol area.
Can my band play at Howfenfest?
Unfortunately this year's lineup has now been decided, but please come and enjoy Howfenfest in a spectator capacity on July 23rd.
Anything else I should know?
Silcocks Family Fun Fair will be on the Bolton Road car park (next to the Cross Guns pub). Silcocks have been keeping Westhoughton amused for more than 100 years, and we're proud to have them in involved with Howfenfest for the 4th year running.
